I have known for a while that I would be travelling to Bali, Dubrovnik and Adelaide for the 3 Mensa gatherings I attend in my role as Australian chairman.
Unlike the previous 3 years, when I have travelled to the US for work around March/April, there was no request for a visit this year at that time. However, a month or so ago there was a suggestion that I may be needed later this year and this has now been confirmed.
I had a 4 week gap between Dubrovnik and Adelaide and that was convenient for both sides for the work visit, so rather than 3 separate trips, they will be combined in to one round the world trip of about 6 -7 weeks.
With a week between the IBD finishing and work starting, I will be able to have a mini golf holiday. I am currently looking at 4 days or so in Orlando, booked through the same company that organised my Mesquite golf package last year.
Fortunately, and for unrelated reasons, my younger son has moved back in for about 6 months, so the house will be occupied and he will look after the cat, mail and so forth.
